The fourth international Sculpture Project Münster took place in the summer of 2007. Mounted every ten years and previously hosted in 1977, 1987, and 1997, this large international exhibition invites artists from all over the world to create public Art in the city of Münster. One of the chosen artists Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster contributed what she described as an "experiential exhibition." The artist presented a theme park composed of 1:4-scale replicas of 36 selected sculptures from past Skulptur Projekte exhibitions. Every object is a precise reproduction of the original and is set in relation to the others.

See you in 2047 was an alternative Sculpture Project Münster, and was mounted in September 2007. Eleven artists from different cities, working primarily in the urban space travelled to Münster without permission, to create illegal public art within the context of the Sculpture Project Münster exhibition. In addition, each of the eleven artists (Akim, Brad Downey, Daniel Muller, Jesus, Lice, Michalis Pichler, Neon, Richard Schwarz, Rocco Berger, The WA, and The Fourth Int installed a 1:4 model of their illegal intervention within the Dominique Gonzales-Forester theme park.

Why wait for a potential invitation in ten years? Instead, the largely Berlin-based artists did it the way they knew best: challenging head on the notions of public space and existing art power structures. Despite run-ins with the local authorities, their interventions were allowed to mingle with the authorised works for a week during the festival.
